    Drusen in my retina - My brother was dx w/macular degeneration when he was in his early 30's. It's now 16 yrs later, and no signs of blindness. So it can come early and still not due much immediate damage to eyesight. Of course he was not taking plaquenil. Macular degeneration would be an abnormal response to plaquenil.
