    Hi, I was diagnosed with RA and was put on sulfa, my rheumy tried adding mtx but i had awful side effects so am now on hydroxychloroquine and sulfa..this combination worked for anyone? Hi I've been on this combination for a few months and unfortunately it hasn't worked for me - but that's not to say it won't for you, we are all different in how we react to drugs.     Hydroxychloroquine plaquenil withdrawl? - LUPUS UK I don't know if anyone can help as this isn't technically lupus related. I've been on plaquenil for 6 months for suspected Sjogren's syndrome I don't have antibodies for Sjorgren's or Lupus but I do have Hashimoto's and have all the symptoms for Sjorgren's so the rheumatologist suggested a trial of plaquenil.
